All the Trails in Wales

Deep Thoughts

This isn't Eat Pray Love, and I'm not on a spiritual journey to reach enlightenment via hiking and gazing at sheep. However, I did always want to take part in a Chautauqua. Now I finally have time, so I'll have one with myself.

Maybe. If I can remember to write my thoughts down. And if I ever get over the lingering depression of US politics and regain my will to live.

When Life Hands You Puppies

Outside of a Pub

September 16, 2016

When life hands you puppies at a pub in Aberaeron, or more specifically, when a woman you've never met before takes her puppy out of its baby carriage, hands it to you, and asks you if you can watch it while she goes inside, you begin to question everything else you've done your life.

Where did this puppy come from?

More specifically, you question the sanity of a world in which this has never happened before.

"How did I survive," you may query, "without having had the world's most adorable puppy in one hand, and a pint in the other, while sitting in the sunshine?"

"Why have people not just been handing me puppies" you may ask yourself, "literally every day?"

And the only answer you'll find is you've never been to mid-Wales before.

Fun with Flags

Why is the Welsh Flag so Amazing?

February 12, 2017

This flag is better than yours

Answer: It has a dragon on it. What are you blind?

Does your flag have a dragon on it?

BTW, unless you're from Bhutan, Moscow, or you've just now drawn your own personal flag with a stick figure dragon on it, the answer is no.

That is a DRAGON.
